The Eurasian School of Science & Technology (ESST), Nanning Normal University, was approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2025 as a non-independent legal entity Sino-foreign cooperative education institution (License No.: MOE45KZA02DNR20252393N). It is jointly established by Nanning Normal University and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and is a subordinate school of Nanning Normal University. It is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution in China established in collaboration with the Republic of Kazakhstan, opening up a new path for mutual learning between Chinese and Kazakh civilizations and the integration of science, technology and education.
The school offers higher education at the undergraduate level, offering three undergraduate majors: Biological Science, Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. It has the authority to confer degrees from both Nanning Normal University and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The college aims to cultivate high-quality and versatile talents with solid theoretical foundations, innovative practical abilities, and international perspectives in the fields of Biological Science, Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. By integrating modern biochemical technologies, bilingual curriculum system, international joint training, and interdisciplinary practices, the school enables students to master core technologies and possess global competence, preparing them for engaging in research and development work, cross-border collaboration work, and high-level innovative work which is capable of addressing global technological challenges in fields such as Bio-medicine, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, and Energy and Environment.
Relying on the highly complementary disciplinary strengths and characteristics of the two schools in relevant fields, the school adheres to advanced international educational and teaching concepts, and through mechanisms such as joint faculty, joint training, and joint management, achieves strong cooperation. It is committed to serving the "Belt and Road" initiative and the construction of the China-Kazakhstan community of shared destiny, fully leveraging the high-quality educational resources of the two schools, and creating an innovative hub integrating talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services. It provides intellectual support for the development of emerging industries such as New Materials, Intelligent Manufacturing, as well as Bio-medicine, and cultivates urgently needed and scarce talents for the construction of China Pilot Free Trade Zone. It continuously injects new impetus into the "Belt and Road" construction.
